Hydra Host Raises Seed Plus led by Flume Ventures

Hydra Host recently closed its latest fundraising round with top VCs and operators in the AI and data centers space. The round, led by Sun Microsystems co-founder Scott McNealy’s Flume Ventures, included participation from NEA and Max Altman’s Saga Ventures, as well as Hydra Host’s customers Chase Lochmiller (co-founder and CEO of Crusoe) and Youssef El Manssouri (co-founder and CEO of Sesterce).

Hydra Host is growing fast. Hydra Host grew its compute brokerage business 9x in 2024 and achieved 3,706 total nodes and 29,648 GPUs under management. Across its cloud distribution and hardware procurement business lines, Hydra Host grew total GMV 331x and revenue 18x. Hydra Host nearly doubled its headcount from 13 to 23 over this period to support this growth.
