Hydra Host Powers World’s First Sovereign Deployment of NVIDIA B300 Chips in El Salvador
AI sovereignty starts with infrastructure—Hydra delivers it.
San Salvador, El Salvador – June 26, 2025 – In a historic move set to redefine the future of AI, Hydra Host has provisioned the world’s first sovereign acquisition of NVIDIA B300 chips for El Salvador’s National Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, marking a bold leap toward full-stack technological independence.
Following a meeting between President Nayib Bukele and Hydra Host CEO & Co-founder Aaron Ginn, El Salvador secured access to the most advanced AI processors on the market, enabling the country to train, run, and secure AI models on infrastructure it fully controls.
“This isn’t just a chip order, it’s a sovereignty play,” said Ginn. “Hydra exists to give governments and enterprises control over their compute future.”
Hydra Host, an NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) focused entirely on bare metal deployments, is building the infrastructure behind El Salvador’s Sovereign AI—a national strategy for strategic resilience, economic competitiveness, and digital independence.
This marks a new chapter in Hydra’s mission to empower sovereign AI capabilities. The company has deployed GPU infrastructure in over 40 global data centers, launched turnkey AI Factories for enterprises and nation-states, and is now expanding its presence in Central America by hiring its first full-time team member in El Salvador.
Hydra will also play a hands-on role in talent development, as Aaron Ginn leads workshops with students in the country’s Cubo AI program, preparing a new generation of AI engineers equipped to build, scale, and govern their own models locally.
This announcement follows El Salvador’s broader push for technological sovereignty through its National Artificial Intelligence Agency (ANIA), with partners including Google AI, NVIDIA, ARK Invest, and Nike.
By placing B300 chips directly into the hands of a nation, not a hyperscaler, Hydra Host is setting the gold standard for sovereign AI infrastructure. In a world where compute is power, true sovereignty starts with bare metal.
