NVIDIA A100 PCIe 40 GB

NVIDIA introduced the A100 PCIe 40 GB, a professional-grade graphics card, on June 22, 2020. This card, which is built utilizing the 7 nm manufacturing process and is based on the GA100 graphics processor, does not offer DirectX support. This absence of DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 compatibility may limit its ability to run the most current games. The GA100 processor is a substantial component, featuring a die size of 826 mm² and 54.2 billion transistors. The card is equipped with 6912 shading units, 432 texture mapping units, and 160 ROPs, as well as 432 tensor cores that enhance machine learning application performance. NVIDIA has equipped the A100 PCIe 40 GB with 40 GB of HBM2e memory, connected via a 5120-bit memory interface. The GPU operates at a base frequency of 765 MHz, with the potential to boost up to 1410 MHz, and the memory clock runs at 1215 MHz. Designed as a dual-slot card, the A100 PCIe 40 GB requires an 8-pin EPS connector for power, with a maximum power consumption of 250 W. This unit doesn't support display outputs as it's not intended for monitor connections. The A100 PCIe 40 GB uses a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface for system connectivity and measures 267 mm in length and 111 mm in width, featuring a dual-slot cooling design.
